Asserting that the Grand Alliance is set to form the government in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, however, said the TRS was yet to take a decision on whether or not to join the next government.
The party would take a decision after the results were announced on May 16 based on the developments, he said.
TRS sources clarified that the party was not in a hurry as much would depend on the outcome at the national level where “TRS with at least eight MPs will play a crucial role”.
Mr. Rao said he was leaving for New Delhi on Sunday when he would call on leaders of all major parties to seek their support for Telangana. The process of formation of the separate State got under way with 95 per cent of the political parties, including the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam that incorporated Telangana issue in its manifesto, extending their support to the cause.
