NTR (Junior) injured in road accident

Upcoming Telugu film hero N T Rama Rao (Junior) was injured when his SUV turned turtle on National Highway-9 in the wee hours on Friday.
NTR (Junior), the star campaigner of the Telugu Desam Party, was returning to Hyderabad after completing his first leg of electioneering in Khammam district when his SUV turned turtle while negotiating a curve at Mote village near Suryapet. He was accompanied by some friends.
The 26-year-old star sustained minor injuries on the head, hands and ribs besides a minor fracture in the spine.
Doctors attending on NTR (Jr) said the actor would have to take rest for at least six weeks.
Another actor Rajiv Kanakala and a friend of NTR (Jr) also sustained minor injuries in the incident, police sources said.
They were immediately rushed to nearby KIMS Hospital where a minor surgery was performed on NTR (Jr).
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, film star Nandamuri Balakrishna and others visited him at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Nalgonda district SP B Srinivasalu told PTI that a case has been registered against NTR junior for rash and negligence driving.
NTR (Jr) began his 33-day campaign for the TDP from Itchapuram in far-off Srikakulam district on March 12 and has toured six districts so far.
His clear and crisp speeches laced with pun, humour and parables were promising to be a big crowd puller.
On the advise of Chandrababu Naidu, the actor wanted to take a break for two days in view of the Ugadi (Telugu New Year's Day) festival and return to Hyderabad after completing the campaigning in Khammam district late Thursday night.
