Indian Fashion Designer Anand Jon was sentenced to 59 Years by American courts for Sexual Assault and rape on young women and under age girls. Los Angles court has rejected Anand’s plea to re-consider his case. Anand Jon claims that he is being accused on racial basis.
Anand who was born in Kerala in 1973, became popular through America’s Next Top Model. He has designed clothes for celebrities like Paris Hilton, Opera, Janet Jackson etc and is quite popular in various fashion shows. Anand was arrested in 2007 March on 49 sex crimes and seized his passport so that he can not get out of the country.
He has proved guilty in 16 crimes in 2008 and now he is given 59 years jail term. There are some additional cases which needs to be proved yet. So Anand got almost life term sentence for his crimes.
