It is Telugu cinema’s costliest production and stars Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan in the lead role.
This Friday, megastar Chiranjeevi will be seen in a role different from what the Andhra Pradesh Assembly sees him in everyday. Magadheera, starring Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan, will have the megastar making a special appearance.
"It took me one week to convince him to do that one minute cameo in my film and it was exciting. And I hope he does not stop with this," said Ram Charan, actor.
Magadheera at Rs 45 crore is Telugu cinema’s costliest film. The semi-period film claims to have never-seen-before special effects that pushed up the film cost by 25 per cent.
"This is the first time we have experimented and tried 3D animation. That took up a lot of our cost," said Ram Charan.
Chiranjeevi danced to this number in his 1992 superhit film Gharana Mogudu. Ram Charan wants to show he can fit into his father’s shoes in the 2009 version of the same song.
