The Muslim intelligentsia in the state is joining forces to oppose the formation of a separate Telengana. Terming KCR a cheat and a liar they said the TRS lost all its credibility with the minorities the moment it sold out to the BJP. They are organizing a 50,000 strong rally to educate the minorities that a separate statehood will only mean trouble for the Muslims. As an example they are quoting the behavior of KCR who after winning the MP seat with the votes of the minorities was busy selling himself to the communal forces in Delhi. They are forming a new organization called the “Muslims of Andhra Pradesh” to spread the message of a unified state among the rank and file of the community members. As reported earlier the MIM was from the beginning opposed to theformation of a separate state. Even KCR’s attempts to get cozy with them by praising the Nizam have backfired.
