TD senior leaders are saying that PRP is almost certain to align with the Congress. In an internal review meet, Chandrababu Naidu is said to have remarked that the women were influenced by the CTS and voted for the Kutami. This led one senior member to wonder whether their chief felt that the men folk deserted the party. TD leaders are now digging deep into their constituencies’ trying to find out how the Muslim and Dalit voters voted. Their fear is that if these two blocks voted for the Congress then the PRP impact on the Congress might be negated to a large extent. Having said that, the TD’s exit poll survey which was released today has revealed that the Congress will get a mere 55 to 60 seats.
