The poll surveys in Kadapa are mostly rolling out according to the script. Though the Congress insists it will be a clean sweep, the TDP as expected is in the thick of things in at least 3 of the 10 constituencies. Kadapa town, Kamalapuram and Proddutur is where one can expect the cycle to pip the Congress at the post. However for the remaining 7 seats, the Congress is comfortably placed in at least 6 of them. The sole upset could be in Rajampet where G Ramayya of PRP is expected to win over Amarnath Reddy and Madan Mohan Reddy of the Congress and the TDP respectively. In Rayachoti the TDP and the Congress are slugging it out, though Srikanth Reddy of Congress has a slight advantage over Palakonda Rayudu of the Kutami. The Congress CM Dr YSR is expected to win in Pulivendula by the proverbial mile over his nearest rivals Satishkumar Reddy and Gangi Reddy of the TDP and PRP respectively. The Congress’s advantage here is the development works undertaken in the district during the CM’s five year tenure.
